Sharks are crucial to marine ecosystems, yet sharks are in a global decline. Learn about the value of sharks and what is causing the rapid loss of shark populations. The course may include two scuba dives or may be presented as a non-diving education program.
Get a PADI Shark Awareness crew pack: includes your manual and video when you enroll in the course. Read the manual and watch the video before meeting with your PADI Instructor.
Duration
The course takes 1 day to finish once you completed the classroom session. The day is spent away at a local dive site where you will conduct your 2 Shark Dives. This is usually completed on a dive trip or safari but your course can be completed anywhere in the world.
Who can take the course
If you’re a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old, you can enroll in the Shark Diver course.
